Bearrootology Botanicals began in the Rocky Mountains of Southwestern Colorado with one remarkable plant: oshá root.
As a Colorado native, I spent years walking mountain trails, observing the forests, learning the habitats, and deepening my understanding of a plant that has been respected for generations.
For nearly three years, I moved slowly and intentionally because I wanted to understand the plant before building a business around it.
The more I learned, the more I realized that oshá was not simply a root. It was part of a living ecosystem, a story of resilience, and a teacher of patience, respect, and stewardship.
Why Bearrootology Exists
Bearrootology Botanicals was created from a commitment to share the experience of oshá while respecting the plant, the land, and the future of both.
Every product reflects the lessons the mountains have taught me: slow down, pay attention, move with intention, and remember that nature gives its greatest gifts when approached with gratitude.
